The Outer Space Institute Society (OSIS) is a Canadian non-profit under the Societies Act of British Columbia. OSIS supports the OSI network in conducting interdisciplinary research and communicating that information to the public, researchers, and decision-makers. It further provides a framework for the management and growth of the OSI.
OSIS aims:
- To support and advance scientific and technical knowledge related to human use of the space environment of the solar system by encouraging and facilitating related research, information exchange and policy discussion
and
- To provide public education on matters related to the human use of outer space, through lectures and workshops and through creation and dissemination of related print and electronic media, with a particular focus on young audiences
